Rolled Ring Forgings Used In Aerospace Industry 7075 T6 Aluminum Forging Parts
The process of rolling seamless rings begins withopen die forging which creates a preform workpiece. Open die forging processes, rounds, and upsets apiece of stock which aligns the grain flow of the metal. The workpiece is then punched in the center to createa hole necessary to place the workpiece in the ring mill.
Depending on the size, seamless rings can also be produced by simple piercing of a forging, either open die or with the outside diameter contained in a tool. Other manufacturing methods such as mandrel rolling under a hammer or press or drawing the material over a mandrel bar. We uses all of these methods to produce seamless forged rings of the highest quality and integrity.
